Textco Announces Beta Release of Gene Construction Kit™ 2.5 with new "Deluxe Importer" Module

West Lebanon, N.H. - Textco today announced that a beta release of Gene Construction Kit 2.5 (GCK 2.5) is available at Textco's web site now for an open beta test. GCK 2.5 features a powerful new module - the "Deluxe Importer" Module. This module will download and convert standard GenBank DNA sequence files (as well as standard EMBL DNA sequence files) into GCK2 graphical constructs, along with powerful web database searching capabilities. The Deluxe Importer module will provide users with a simple way to create, maintain, and exchange graphical representations of any of the sequences from the human genome project.

The Gene Construction Kit 2.5 beta is available for Windows and Mac. The Mac version of GCK 2.5 also has a new aqua interface and is carbonized for Mac OS X (runs on Mac OS 8.6 or higher). The Windows version of GCK 2.5 is available for Win 2000, 98, 95 and NT. To participate in the beta testing of Gene Construction Kit 2.5, fill out the beta test form.
